Eco-Tote

Alright Martha friends, you'll have to listen to Martha Stewart Living Radio (Sirius channel 112) because from time to time they are giving away these great Martha eco-totes! They look to hold a lot of groceries or other shopping items (supplies from Michaels, Wal-Mart, or Macy's?) and they are a great alternative to "paper or plastic" at the checkout! Listen, and you just might be able to get one! I know I'll be listening!

Nice, Kenn! I don't have a Martha one, but I do have a lot of canvas bags in the back of my car that I use for shopping now.

Elaine, I also use big canvas totes now. I got mine at Land's End: really sturdy, lots of pockets. With two large totes, Tom and I get a week's worth of groceries in there. No plastic bags required! (Being green actually IS pretty easy.)

I use mine religiously. One in the car, one at home (for walking to the store) and one at work (just in case). If fact if I find myself in the grocery store without one, I'll run out to the car to get it. I never thought I would appreciate NOT using plastic OR paper. Thanks for the heads up Kenn - I'll but sure to listen!

I love my Macy's totes! I get these smiles from the clerks when I whip mine out, but I don't care. Pretty soon if we get charged for plastic bags like they have been talking about doing, they won't be giving me that chuckling grin when I use mine. I also have the big red Macy's one with the white star.

Andrew, I have one of those Land's End canvas bags and love it!
